LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

Creative Preschool is a non-profit preschool for children ages two to five years old.

The programs at Creative Preschool are designed to provide a nurturing and exciting learning environment promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children through age-appropriate creative play and learning activities.  We feel play is the “work” of young children and is therefore the basis of learning.  Our programs provide experiences in art, drama, music, movement, science and language.  Our goals are to help facilitate the development of creative thinkers, problem solvers, self-confident and independent beings who will grow up to be caring, happy and productive adults.

Parents do not participate in the classroom on a regular basis; however, we value the involvement of parents in our program, both through the Board of Directors, special projects and field trips. We encourage parents to share their own talents and interests whenever possible. The school relies on parent volunteers, community members and its dedicated teachers to keep the school running.

Creative Preschool has served Island families since 1974.

Creative Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender identity, national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
